Vehicle into Building
In March 2008, I was inspired to start collecting vehicle into building crashes. While on vacation in Florida the prior Christmas, my brothers came home from breakfast one morning and told about a car crashing into the building next to the restaurant. I started noticing a lot of them in the news and it seemed like it happened every day. I found they not only occurred daily, but multiple times per day so I developed criteria to select the best one to feature on my site. After several years of daily postings, I decided that I had proven their daily occurrence.
I no longer post a crash every day, but I continue to search and post the very best ones that I find. That generally means a nice picture, an unusual twist, or lack of really annoying ads.
A few years ago, I put together some statistics and created charts that are quite interesting in regard to driver ages, buildings impacted, and reported cause of the crash.
My learning is that these crashes happen anywhere at any time so always be aware of your surroundings. The most recent crashes are listed below and you can click on the city to read the news report.
